To our members:

We at Leigh Travel Club are saddened by the devastation in Haiti this week

Our meetings are relaxed and informal and a typical evening would begin with slide show or short film then a break for tea or coffee. Then further photos and other info relating to that nights topic. All films and slides are shown on our 6ft square screen via a digital projector. Each month we focus on a particular destination or travel topic with everyone being encouraged to share their experiences and tips.

We are now entering our fifth year, and have a great collection of regular members. We're working hard to keep the interest going. All offers of sharing travel experiences will be very welcome. We offer one or two nights per year to the travel industry, please contact us if your company would like to present an evening to the club during 2010.

Some of you will be aware that our new venue at the Iveagh Club, is just a little bit on the small side. We have made enquiries about using the large hall adjacent to our current location and hope to be able to use that in the near future.

We are very pleased to have the continued support of Karen Goldman, who has over twenty five years experience in the travel industry and is an independent travel advisor. Karen will round off each meeting with a general chat about the travel industry and will be on hand to offer advice, and ways to experience each evenings presentation first hand.
